Word Webs
This week for Reading Mr Wong's groups learnt how to understand new words so that we could understand the text we're reading. We read the text then listed the words that we couldn't understand on paper. As a group, we discussed what words could relate to them and what they could mean. For our task, we had to make 7 word webs using the words recorded on paper. We had to find 8 synonyms/antonyms for each word.

Place Value
This term, Mr Ogilvie's maths groups are focusing on Place Value and Patterns. For our task, we had to answer the three questions (What is place value?, How does Place Value work? and How would you use it to solve problems?) and show what it means using shapes so that the reader understands.

Duffy Theatre
Today was the first day of term 3. In the last block, we had Duffy Theatre. First when the classes entered the hall the performers introduced themselves and who they would be playing during the show. The show was about a boy named Duffy who was on a mission to save a man named Bill from being killed in World War 2 . However, Duffy does face consequences during his time in the past. In the end he does help his friend Ruby, go to school and learn how to read. The show was very funny and was very creative.

How to Attribute Images
Today for Cybersmart, Mr Wong taught LS1 how to attribute images. We learnt how to give credit to the author of an image. First we searched an image on google images for olympic rings. We all had to find the same picture. Then we had to visit the page, then put the image on a google drawing. Finally, we put the author and the license down. LS1 had to do their favourite sport team, food and season.

Blogpost Requirements
Today for Cybsmart LS1 talked about the requirements for the posts we blog nearly everyday. We discussed what you would need and why. Then our task was to make a google drawing about the blog post requirements. LS1 learnt about what you put in a blogpost, blurb and what labels you put in. I think I could improve on making the content more detailed.
